Our mission would not be possible without our generous sponsors who believe in us. The Mount Retreat is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded to connect incoming students at the University of Florida and Santa Fe College with the body of Christ in Gainesville.

Before first-year students set foot on campus or enter their first class, they will have interacted with 30+ campus student organizations and Christian local churches we partner with. Additionally, we are developing leaders with over 130 student volunteers each year. Our leadership team invests in our student volunteers (known as our counselors) so they may grow in leadership, wisdom, and service. Our counselors spend months preparing for the retreat, where they champion first-year students to prioritize their faith during the transition into college.
Our annual operating budget comes entirely from donations, and students pay less than the cost for their stay at Southwind Camp for the retreat weekend. Please email our finance director at finance@themountretreat.com to mail a check. Please notify us with a desire to see your contribution supporting a specific purpose.
Our business operating funds are used for food for staff & volunteers, equipment storage, Southwind’s reservation deposit, graphic design, website platforms, liability insurance, annual filings, and retreat guides for the annual retreat. Any additional funding directly lowers retreat registration for all students, so we can keep our ministry accessible.
Additional Current Needs
Below are several needs we strive to meet each year in order to provide students with the best experience.
Providing a meal to our staff during a spring semester training (~120 people).
Supporting incoming student registration and fundraising by allowing us to table at your school and/or church.
Sponsor our official retreat t-shirts, given to over 400 students, volunteers, & local ministry fair partners who volunteer at the retreat. Business sponsorship packages available upon request.

All tax contribution statements will be sent by January 31st of the year following the donation. All gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law because the Mount is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
